Use and shelf life
Black seed oil
Use internally
For normal daily intake, we recommend taking:
- one to a maximum of 2 (small) teaspoons of oil per day.
- and between 3 and 5 grams of raw black seed per day.
Before use, the oil or seeds can be mixed with a cold drink such as orange juice or yogurt. Take care that you do not mix the black seeds with boiling drinks as the high temperature can have a negative influence on the black seed. Take as a guideline that the temperature of the beverage does not exceed about 40 degrees.
Furthermore, the seeds can also be mixed with hot or cold food. You can even use the seeds as a spice on a vegetable or meat recipe.
Use externally
The oil can be applied to the skin. Furthermore, the oil is ideal as massage oil, or sedative for bath. The dosage is not bound to an amount since the oil does not immediately withdraw. Because of this you quickly realize that the skin is saturated.
Shelf life
Generally, a shelf life of two years is prescribed for black seed oil. This does not mean that the oil will become unusable after two years. The oil remains usable but loses its healthy properties step by step after two years.
The oil that we sell is freshly pressed. This allows you to store the oil for two years and safely consume it. To be on the safe side, you will find the 'best before' date at the back of the bottle.
Pay attention! Shake well before use to mix the sediment through the oil. This oil contains sediment, by shaking before use you shake off the sediment.
