A special gift for you

You have received this gift from someone who wanted to give you something special. A small gesture of appreciation, with the wish that you may feel well and go through life with energy, balance and well-being. Sometimes care is not only found in words, but also in a meaningful gift.

Here you can take your time to read about what black seed is, how to use it, as well as tips and important information.

What is black seed?

Black seed — also known as habba sawda, black seed or Nigella sativa — consists of small black seeds that have been used for thousands of years in various cultures and traditions.
Its history goes back to the time of the pharaohs, who took it with them into their tombs, up to the Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) who said the following about it: "In this black seed there is healing for every disease except death".

The oil is pressed from these seeds and is known for its powerful, spicy taste and unique properties.

The oil is:

  freshly cold-pressed

  unrefined

  without additives

  made from Nigella sativa seeds

This helps preserve the natural properties as much as possible.

How do you use black seed oil?

Internal use

For normal daily intake, we recommend shaking the bottle before use and taking:
- one to a maximum of 2 (small) teaspoons of black seed oil per day.
- or between 3 and 5 grams of black seed per day.

Before use, the black seed oil or seeds can be mixed with a cold drink such as orange juice or yogurt. Avoid mixing black seed with boiling drinks, as high temperatures may negatively affect its components. As a guideline, keep the temperature below approximately 40 degrees Celsius.
The seeds can also be mixed with warm or cold foods and even used as a spice on vegetable or meat dishes.

External use

Black seed oil can be applied to the skin. It is also highly suitable as a massage oil or as an addition to a relaxing bath. The dosage is not limited to a fixed amount, as black seed oil does not absorb immediately.

Shelf life

Black seed oil generally has a shelf life of two years. The oil usually remains usable afterwards, although some properties may gradually decrease.
Our black seed oil is freshly pressed. You can find the 'best before' date on the back of the bottle.

Storage

The oil may be stored at room temperature in a dark place without temperature fluctuations (such as a kitchen cupboard). It may also be stored in the refrigerator, although it can become thicker or lightly solidify.

Please note! Shake well before use to mix the sediment back into the oil. If the oil solidifies when stored cold, you can warm the bottle using the au bain-marie method. Keep the temperature below 40 degrees Celsius.

Important to know

Black seed is not a medicine and does not replace medical treatment or advice from a doctor. In case of illness, pregnancy, medication use or doubt, we always advise consulting a doctor or specialist.

Listen to your body and use it in a way that suits you.
