Every year, especially around Black Friday and the holiday season, I get the same question:
“Do you have any special deals?”
Understandable. Everywhere you look, discount percentages are flying around. Stores advertise spectacular deals, “limited-time” offers, and “never-before-seen prices.” It almost feels like you’d be crazy not to take advantage of them.
But there’s a side to this story many people don’t know.
The illusion of discounts
What many stores do is raise their prices beforehand, only to present the original price as a “discount.” The customer thinks they’re getting a great deal, while the price is actually almost the same — or even higher.
This isn’t an isolated incident; it happens on a large scale. Discount days are often more marketing tricks than real benefits for the customer.
The result?
You lose sight of what a product is truly worth.

Discount days get bigger every year. Brands join in because everyone else does. Consumers expect it because they see it everywhere.
But hype doesn’t create quality.
It often creates confusion, price manipulation, and impulsive purchases.
That’s why I prefer clarity and calm.
Real value instead of temporary illusions.
Honesty lasts the longest
